Health Safety and Environmental Coordinator – Network and Projects

About the role

The Health Safety and Environmental Coordinator will lead the development of a strong safety culture across our network sites and projects. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will ensure compliance with HSE regulations, manage contractor qualifications, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate HSE activities with internal departments (Operations, Commercial, HR, Network Management) and external parties (contractors, consultants, government agencies such as OSHA, fire services, NEMC).
• Lead the ICC program: pre‑qualify contractors, organize and audit compliance, and close audit recommendations.
• Implement the zero‑fatal‑accident program, onboarding new contractors and monitoring high‑risk work.
• Conduct HSE inspections, toolbox talks, issue violation notices and recommend rewards.
• Participate in incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and follow‑up on corrective actions.
• Support tender evaluation by providing HSE assessments.
• Manage emergency response procedures and conduct drills at service stations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for fire, OSHA, NEMC and other relevant standards.
• Oversee the use of IZI safety and ERIS applications, and drive sustainability initiatives (EIA, waste recycling, SRM+, SOCRAT).

Required profile

• Proven experience in HSE coordination within network or project environments.
• Ability to work long hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Strong communication skills to interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with regulatory bodies such as OSHA, fire authorities, and NEMC.
• Experience in conducting audits, risk assessments, and permit‑to‑work reviews.
