Geological Technician – Mining Operations

About the role

We are looking for a Geological Technician to join the geology team at Bulyanhulu Gold Mine. The role provides technical and field support to geologists and engineers, ensuring high‑quality geological data collection and processing for mining operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily drilling logistics, mobilising crews, and managing safety gear and consumables.
• Conduct geological sampling (RC, soil, trench, stream), core orientation, marking, and core collection following SOPs.
• Prepare and dispatch samples while maintaining QA/QC standards to prevent contamination.
• Enter and organise geological data, produce daily and weekly reports, and maintain database traceability.
• Assist with field mapping, drill site preparation, geotechnical measurements, and other site activities as directed.
• Supervise field work, ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.

Required profile

• Ability to work safely in a mining environment and follow documented HSE procedures.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate data recording and sample handling.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to support geologists and engineers.
