Head of Program Implementation (Tanzania)

About the role

Educate! is seeking a Head of Program Implementation to lead the execution of its Mewaka Sustainability Strategy in Tanzania. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will guide high‑performing teams, shape program strategy, and ensure that youth employment initiatives are delivered with financial rigor and strong impact.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑lead the development and implementation of the Mewaka Sustainability Strategy, defining and tracking key objectives.
• Build and execute program strategies in collaboration with cross‑functional partners.
• Scope stage objectives for new product initiatives and oversee their rollout.
• Foster a positive team culture, establish robust operational systems, and maintain financial fidelity.
• Lead, mentor, and manage high‑performing implementation teams across Tanzania.
• Monitor program performance, produce regular reports, and adjust tactics to maximize impact.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience leading program implementation or similar large‑scale initiatives.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
• Proven track record of managing budgets and ensuring financial compliance.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Passion for youth employment and education in Africa, with a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
