About the role

The Head of Partnerships will lead ATNi’s partnership strategy, working closely with the Executive Director to create and nurture strategic relationships that amplify the organisation’s influence and impact on global nutrition. The role covers global, regional and national partners across Europe, East Africa, West Africa, South and Southeast Asia.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement ATNi’s Partnership Strategy in line with its Theory of Change and strategic priorities.
  • Identify, negotiate and secure strategic partnership opportunities with governments, international organisations, private sector actors, investors and civil society.
  • Monitor partnership performance, report on impact and recommend improvements.
  • Represent ATNi at high‑level meetings, conferences and industry events to advocate for collaboration.
  • Lead and supervise the Partnerships team, managing resources, fostering professional growth and ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Collaborate with heads of Research, Policy, Communications, MEL & Data and Business Development to embed partnership insights across workstreams.
  • Support resource mobilisation by co‑creating proposals, grant applications and donor engagement activities.

Required profile

  • Master’s degree in International Development, Public Policy, Business Administration, Public Health, Nutrition or a related field.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in partnership development, stakeholder engagement, business development or programme management.
  • Proven track record of building and managing complex, multi‑sector partnerships across geographies, preferably in nutrition, food systems or international development.
  • Experience leading teams in an international, multicultural environment and extensive travel across Africa and Asia.
  • Fundraising and donor engagement experience is an advantage.

What we offer

  • Full‑time role (32‑40 hours per week) with a gross monthly salary of €5,000‑€6,600.
  • One‑year fixed‑term contract with the intention to extend based on performance.
  • Hybrid working model (50 % office‑based in Utrecht) and flexible remote options.
