Head of Corporate Banking

About the role

Our client, a leading commercial bank, is seeking an experienced Head of Corporate Banking to steer the corporate banking division, drive revenue growth and deliver innovative banking solutions to corporate and institutional clients. You will shape strategy, manage high‑value portfolios and ensure an exceptional client experience while maintaining rigorous risk and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the corporate banking business to achieve annual revenue and profitability targets.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to expand the corporate client portfolio.
• Identify new market opportunities and strengthen relationships with global, regional, public‑sector and financial‑institution clients.
• Drive growth across lending, trade finance, cash management and other corporate banking products.
• Build and deepen relationships with key corporate customers, delivering superior service.
• Collaborate with product partners to maximize cross‑selling and increase client wallet share.
• Monitor portfolio performance, profitability and key metrics, implementing improvement actions.
• Lead, mentor and develop the relationship‑management team, overseeing account allocation and performance management.
• Oversee credit proposals, ensuring compliance with risk policies and approval processes.
• Prepare monthly performance reports, sales pipeline updates and revenue forecasts.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver integrated banking solutions.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies and corporate‑governance standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Marketing, Economics or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• 8‑15 years of progressive experience in corporate or wholesale banking, with proven leadership experience.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and strategic planning abilities.
• Demonstrated experience managing large corporate client portfolios and driving revenue growth.
• Excellent leadership, people‑management and coaching capabilities.
• Strong analytical, financial and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
