Portfolio Manager

About the role

You'll play a crucial role in optimizing our financial product portfolio, managing capital and returns, and crafting customer value propositions that resonate with diverse African markets. The position focuses on data‑driven product development, pricing, and growth strategies within a fast‑moving fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth market research and data analysis to uncover customer needs across African communities.
• Design customer journey maps and tailor value propositions for each market segment to drive product‑market fit.
• Develop data‑driven pricing models that balance affordability with profitability and promote financial inclusion.
• Create strategies to boost adoption of financial services, mobile money wallets, and GSM products.
• Identify opportunities for new financial services, forge strategic partnerships, and expand the ecosystem.
• Monitor portfolio performance, generate reports, and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
• Leverage predictive analytics and machine learning to forecast trends, personalize offers, and mitigate risks such as credit defaults and fraud.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations across multiple African jurisdictions and embed sustainability principles into portfolio decisions.

Required profile

• Academic degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial services, preferably within mobile money or fintech.
• Proven track record in product development, pricing analysis, and portfolio management.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in data‑driven decision making.
• Familiarity with the African mobile money landscape and diverse market dynamics is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
