Head of Clinic

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Head of Clinic to lead the Migration Health Assessment Centre (MHAC) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Reporting to senior health programme coordinators, the incumbent will ensure that health assessments meet the technical requirements of resettlement countries and support humane migration processes.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and supervise the full migration health assessment process, including medical examinations, imaging, laboratory testing, vaccinations, TB management, treatment and referrals, and pre‑departure procedures.
• Conduct health assessments for refugees and migrants, reviewing medical histories, physical examinations, chest X‑rays and laboratory results in line with resettlement country guidelines.
• Maintain MHAC infrastructure and equipment to professional quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with the Chief Migration Health Officer and other country‑office staff to ensure adequate human resources and seamless service delivery.
