FMCG Sales Specialist – Morogoro

About the role

The FMCG Sales Specialist will drive sales growth and expand market coverage across Morogoro and surrounding areas. You will manage distributors, wholesalers, retailers and key customers to ensure product availability, effective merchandising and achievement of sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales plans to meet monthly and annual targets within the assigned territory.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers and key customers.
• Identify new customers and business opportunities to increase market coverage.
• Conduct regular market visits to monitor product availability, pricing, competitor activity and customer needs.
• Coordinate stock levels with distributors and internal teams to minimise stock‑outs and overstocking.
• Implement merchandising, promotions and market activation activities.
• Monitor competitors’ pricing, products, promotions and distribution strategies.
• Follow up on orders, deliveries, payments and outstanding accounts.
• Analyse sales performance and provide regular reports on market activities and competitors.
• Travel extensively within Morogoro and surrounding areas to support market development.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Logistics and Finance teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–3 years of FMCG sales experience, preferably in the Morogoro market.
• Strong knowledge of Morogoro market routes, distributors, wholesalers and retailers.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and acquiring new customers.
• Self‑motivated, target‑oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
