Financial Accountant

About the role

Helios Towers is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining balance‑sheet schedules, processing supplier invoices and supporting month‑end reporting across its African operations.

Key responsibilities

• Update balance‑sheet support schedules for pre‑payment and accrual accounts with proper documentation.
• Scan and upload supplier invoices, GRVs, contracts and FACs to SharePoint and the Accounts Payable system.
• Reconcile landlord payments by reviewing contracts and maintaining the landlord tracker in Excel.
• Liaise daily with the Shared Service Centre to resolve queries related to cash, bank and invoice postings.
• Assist the finance team with cash‑flow monitoring, highlighting delayed payments and key upcoming disbursements.
• Support month‑end reporting by reviewing GL accounts, accruals and journal entries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a comparable accounting role.
• Professional qualification such as CPA (T) or Part‑Qualified Accountant (Intermediate‑Final level).
• Detail‑oriented with strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
