Finance, Grants & Compliance Manager

About the role

The Finance, Grants and Compliance Manager will lead financial planning, reporting and compliance for the Faith and Community Initiative (FCI) in Tanzania. Reporting to the Country Project Director, the role ensures that budgets, cash flows and donor requirements are met while supporting the organization’s 80/20 efficiency commitment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, manage and revise the FCI Tanzania country budget, aligning it with programme strategies and donor requirements.
• Develop phased budgets, annual spending plans, monthly cash‑flow forecasts and pipeline analyses.
• Track and report on the proportion of resources reaching frontline health workers, hubs, spokes and community platforms.
• Conduct cost‑efficiency analyses (cost per hub, per frontline worker, per facility, etc.).
• Review expenditures, ledger coding, journal entries, reconciliations and partner liquidations for accuracy and compliance.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including burn‑rate analysis and budget variance explanations.
• Manage country cash flow, fund requests and disbursements to consortium members, faith‑based partners and local implementing organizations.
• Ensure financial arrangements for field activities such as travel, training and supervision are in place.

Required profile

• Proven experience in country‑level financial management for NGOs or development programmes.
• Strong understanding of donor reporting standards and grant compliance.
• Ability to analyse financial data and present clear recommendations.
• Excellent attention to detail and integrity in handling financial records.
