Executive Assistant Manager – Rooms Division

About the role

The Executive Assistant Manager will lead the Rooms Division at The Mora Zanzibar, overseeing Front Office, Housekeeping, Laundry and Guest Services. Working closely with the Hotel General Manager, you will help maximise profitability while delivering exceptional guest and colleague experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all operational activities of the Rooms Division, ensuring alignment with the hotel’s mission, vision and core values.
• Deputise for the Cluster General Manager and assume full hotel operation responsibility during any absence.
• Monitor occupancy, productivity and labour costs, making operational adjustments as required.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, training and colleague development for Front Office, Housekeeping, Laundry and Guest Services.
• Track Rooms Division revenue and expenses, prepare forecasts and implement service‑improvement policies.
• Plan and attend staff, rooms division, executive committee and quality meetings.
• Maintain health, safety and risk‑management standards for guests and staff.

Required profile

• Proven hospitality leadership experience with internationally recognised hotel or leisure brands.
• Strong understanding of service, operational and guest‑experience standards typical of European and international resort operations.
• Demonstrated strategic, commercial and operational leadership capabilities, preparing for a future General Manager role.
