Driver

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a reliable driver to support its operations. Working within the Movement Operations unit, the driver will ensure safe and efficient transport for staff and official activities while maintaining the assigned vehicle(s) in optimal condition.

Key responsibilities

• Drive assigned IOM office vehicle(s) for official duties.
• Perform daily checks of tires, brakes, engine oil, fan belt and other components to ensure roadworthiness.
• Arrange and oversee minor repairs and schedule regular service intervals.
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle(s) and keep detailed records of spare parts and maintenance activities.
• Conduct monthly inventory of spare parts and update records accordingly.
• Plan and follow the most direct and safe routes using available roads.
• Ensure vehicles are used solely for authorized IOM purposes.

Required profile

• Works under the general supervision of the Resource Management Officer and the direct supervision of the Admin & Finance Assistant.

Required skills

• Vehicle maintenance and minor repair handling.
• Daily vehicle inspection (tires, brakes, engine oil, fan belt).
• Spare parts inventory management and record keeping.
• Route planning to select safe and efficient travel paths.
