Demand Planner – Forecasting & Inventory Management

About the role

We are seeking a Demand Planner to join a fast‑growing building‑materials distribution company. The role focuses on creating accurate demand forecasts, managing inventory levels and supporting the Sales & Operations Planning process to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock.

Key responsibilities

• Develop demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends and business intelligence.
• Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to balance availability and reduce obsolete stock.
• Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing and Finance to align demand and supply plans.
• Analyze forecast performance and propose improvements to increase planning accuracy.
• Prepare regular reports on demand planning, inventory status and stock performance for management.
• Identify risks of stock shortages or overstocking and recommend corrective actions.
• Support the S&OP process by providing demand insights and recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management or supply chain planning.
• Strong analytical, forecasting and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Familiarity with demand planning software.
