Certified Scrub Tech – Full‑Time Days Shift

About the role

We are seeking a Certified Scrub Technician to join our operating rooms on a full‑time days schedule. The successful candidate will ensure a sterile environment, prepare surgical instruments and supplies, and support surgeons throughout procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Set up operating rooms with surgical instruments, sterile supplies, and equipment.
• Verify that all instruments are sterilized and functioning before use.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments, providing retraction, and maintaining a clear visual field.
• Maintain strict sterile/aseptic technique and participate in surgical counts.
• Position patients, perform hand scrub, gowning, gloving, and draping.
• Manage specimens, inventory, and restock supplies as needed.
• Transport instruments to decontamination, ensuring proper handling.
• Participate in room turnover, housekeeping, and cost‑saving initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• Minimum two years experience as a Certified Scrub Tech in an acute‑care or rural hospital.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Adherence to attendance, punctuality, and hospital policies.
