Agri Finance Specialist

About the role

The Agri‑Finance Specialist will design, launch and manage digital lending solutions for the agricultural sector. Working closely with financial institutions, fintech partners and agribusinesses, you will help expand financial inclusion for farmers, Agri‑SMEs and value‑chain participants.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end go‑to‑market for pilot and scale‑up phases, develop rollout plans, train field staff and monitor milestones.
• Own loan portfolio performance, define collection processes, early‑warning triggers and restructuring rules to meet NPL/PAR targets.
• Manage farmer‑group onboarding, ensure KYC/KYB compliance, and enable agents and merchants on digital channels.
• Build and maintain partnerships with input suppliers, cooperatives, NGOs, financial institutions and local governments, negotiating MoUs and co‑financing arrangements.
• Run project governance, track budgets, produce operational dashboards and regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong background in financial services, credit management and digital lending.
• Deep understanding of agricultural value chains, rural banking and financial inclusion strategies.
• Experience with digital platforms, credit risk models and mobile money ecosystems.
• Proven ability to develop strategic partnerships with banks, Agri‑Tech firms and cooperatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Finance, Economics or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
