Accounts Payable Officer

About the role

The Accounts Payable and Administration Officer will support the finance team by processing supplier invoices, managing vendor payments and maintaining accurate financial records for the Dar es Salaam office. The role also provides general office administration to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and ensure timely, accurate payments using the company’s ERP system.
• Maintain vendor master data, monitor accounts payable ageing, and perform reconciliations and accruals.
• Support procure‑to‑pay processes and ensure compliance with tax and statutory requirements.
• Assist with office logistics, document management, supplies and visitor coordination.
• Uphold internal controls, prepare documentation for internal, external and regulatory audits.
• Identify and propose improvements to existing finance and administrative processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, financial controls and statutory compliance.
• High attention to detail, integrity and ability to work independently under deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems and computerized accounting software.
• Experience using financial management systems.
