Accounts Executive

About the role

The Accounts Executive will manage the company’s financial transactions, vendor payments and statutory compliance in Tanzania. You will ensure accurate record‑keeping, timely reporting and support internal financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Process and monitor vendor payments, verify invoices and maintain supplier records.
• Prepare and submit statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, SDL, WCF) and coordinate TRA audits.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and perform account reconciliations.
• Assist in budget preparation, cash‑flow monitoring and financial analysis for management decisions.
• Implement internal control procedures and support asset‑management and inventory reconciliation.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and control.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Proven experience in financial management or client account handling.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations and tax compliance.
• Analytical and numerical aptitude for budgeting and asset management.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills for managing client accounts.
