Accountant / Senior Accountant – Dar es Salaam

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The role involves handling core accounting functions and supporting financial reporting for a medium to large manufacturing operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general accounting tasks for the business.
• Book invoices against Goods Received Notes (GRN).
• Clear GRIR/SRIR open line items.
• Assist the finance team with various accounting activities.
• Conduct account/ledger, stock, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and issue relevant management reports as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA or ACCA is preferred.
• 3‑5 years of proven accounting experience.
• Experience working with medium or large multinational or local manufacturing companies.
