Accountant (On-site) – Morogoro, Tanzania

About the role

We are looking for a full-time, on-site Accountant to join our finance team in Morogoro, Tanzania. The role involves managing daily financial transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping and supporting the preparation of financial reports.

Key responsibilities

• Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
• Prepare and issue invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Support budget preparation, cost tracking and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with Tanzanian tax regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams and support external audits.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Tally or QuickBooks.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
