Accommodation Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accommodation Manager to join our management team at a luxury resort on Zanzibar. The role focuses on delivering exceptional, personalized guest experiences across all accommodation services.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee front office, concierge, housekeeping, porter, and butler departments.
• Ensure outstanding, personalized guest service throughout the entire stay.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of approximately 20 staff members.
• Uphold 5‑star service standards and comply with international hospitality norms and Relais & Châteaux commitments.
• Collaborate closely with the General Manager and heads of F&B, spa, sales, and other departments.
• Manage departmental budgets, monitor performance metrics such as occupancy, guest satisfaction, and cost control.
• Handle guest complaints or sensitive issues with professionalism and discretion.

Required profile

• Degree in hospitality management, luxury tourism, or a related field (BTS, Bachelor, MBA).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or international 5‑star property.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory; French is a plus.
• International experience, particularly in Africa, is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hotel management systems (e.g., Property Management System – PMS).
