Management Accountant – Dar es Salaam

About the role

The Management Accountant will support the client’s strategic decision‑making by handling cost accounting, management reporting, financial planning and budgeting.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop annual budgets, strategic plans and periodic forecasts.
• Monitor and analyse budget performance, identify variances and implement corrective actions.
• Develop, maintain and analyse standard costs of manufactured goods and support cost‑saving initiatives.
• Conduct cost‑benefit analyses for potential investments and projects.
• Maintain the value chain by uploading pricing and discounts into SAP by Design, managing pricing templates and recommending pricing changes.
• Prepare and disseminate periodic reports, consolidate monthly and quarterly MIS & KPI reports and track operational efficiency.
• Perform monthly cost‑centre reviews, ensure general ledger reconciliations, prepare stock‑taking schedules and conduct half‑year stock reconciliations.
• Assist in reviewing internal controls in line with SICS.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum three years of experience in a similar management accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and reporting.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• SAP (by Design) for pricing and cost management.
• Advanced spreadsheet skills (Excel).
• PowerPoint for presenting analyses and reports.
