Financial Controller – Travel & Tourism

About the role

CNS Group is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function of its growing travel and tourism business in Dar es Salaam. The role will ensure robust financial management, regulatory compliance, and strategic support for business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all financial and accounting operations in line with IFRS and Tanzanian regulations.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term financial planning.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk exposure.
• Ensure compliance with TRA tax requirements, including VAT, PAYE and statutory obligations.
• Develop and strengthen internal controls and financial policies.
• Supervise accounting staff and support branch financial activities.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Monitor performance, identify cost‑optimization opportunities, and drive efficiency.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks and regulatory authorities as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Tanzanian tax and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
