Finance Manager – Financial Services & Tourism

About the role

Shugulika Africa Limited is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead its financial operations in Dar es Salaam. The role combines day‑to‑day accounting oversight with strategic support for business growth in the financial services and travel‑tourism sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all core accounting functions: accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, payroll, general ledger, taxation and cost control.
• Prepare weekly cash‑flow forecasts, monitor liquidity and ensure timely vendor payments and reconciliations.
• Produce accurate financial reports, including annual budgets, bi‑annual forecasts, monthly management accounts and weekly cash‑flow statements.
• Oversee statutory audits, ensure timely sign‑off and filing of all required documents.
• Act as the primary liaison with revenue authorities, handling tax queries and audits with zero exposure.
• Maintain compliance with BRELA annual returns, corporate insurance requirements and Tanzanian tax regulations.
• Supervise, train and motivate the finance and administrative support team, providing analytical insights to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• CPA or ACCA qualification (completed or finalist preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of finance experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Prior experience in travel, tourism or hospitality is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets.
