Accounting Intern – Finance Team Support

About the role

This internship offers a hands‑on opportunity to support the finance department in daily accounting operations, vendor management and month‑end closing activities. You will work closely with the GL Accountant, Financial Controller and Finance Manager to ensure accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately pack Journal Vouchers (JVs) and debit/credit notes.
• Verify vendor invoices in SAP and perform vendor clearing and allocations.
• Maintain vendor reconciliations and an updated lease tracker with expected rental payment dates.
• Monitor staff outstanding balances and share monthly reports.
• Track vendor payments, ensure approvals and supporting documents are complete before processing.
• Post vendor payments, government payments, bank charges and inter‑bank transfers within 24 hours.
• Support month‑end closure: obtain bank statements, review fees, and reconcile GL accounts.
• Assist with periodic physical inventory counts and fixed‑asset verification.
• File payment documents orderly and support bank reconciliation when needed.
