Accountant – Manufacturing Finance & Payroll Role

About the role

Shugulika Africa Limited is looking for a trustworthy Accountant to support a manufacturing client in Dar es Salaam. The role involves managing finance, payroll, tax compliance, HR administration, and inventory operations within a fast‑moving production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash withdrawals, disbursements, payroll for local and expatriate staff, and manage petty cash.
• Prepare and file statutory returns (PAYE, SDL, VAT, NSSF) and respond to tax authority queries.
• Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Handle staff recruitment, contracts, registrations (NSSF/PAYE/WCF), labor dispute resolution, and expatriate documentation.
• Maintain stock records, manage material returns, oversee machinery maintenance, and process supplier payments.
• Conduct physical stock counts and support inventory control.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Proven experience in financial operations and accounting processes.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

• Computer literacy for accounting tasks.
