Accountant – Full‑Time Position in Dar es Salaam

About the role

CVPeople Tanzania is looking for a qualified Accountant to join its finance team in Dar es Salaam. The role involves managing daily financial transactions, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting the preparation of accurate financial reports.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily financial transactions, process invoices, receipts, and payroll while maintaining up‑to‑date records.
• Enter and reconcile financial data in Tally and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Process statutory deductions (PAYE, SDL, NSSF, WCF, City Service Levy) and submit returns to the relevant authorities on time.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, implementing internal controls, and ensuring policy adherence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting or finance (internship or entry‑level experience accepted).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Tally accounting software.
• Strong command of MS Office, especially Excel.
