Accountant – Construction Finance Role

About the role

Ubuntu Impact is looking for a qualified Accountant to support its construction operations in Dar es Salaam. The role involves managing daily financial activities, ensuring accurate reporting, and controlling project costs.

Key responsibilities

• Financial Accounting & Reporting – maintain accurate books, perform planning and analysis, and ensure proper documentation.
• Project Costing & Control – develop budgets, monitor project expenses, handle billing and payments.
• Compliance & Inventory – oversee audit procedures, manage inventory, and control fixed assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounts and Finance from a recognized institution.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the construction sector.
• Familiarity with accounting software and solid knowledge of construction‑industry accounting practices.
• High integrity, confidentiality, and strong communication skills.
