About the role

The Sales Manager will drive revenue growth for Meliá hotels across assigned segments and markets. Working closely with Account Managers and the corporate sales team, you will develop and execute sales strategies that maximise both quantitative and qualitative targets.

Key responsibilities

  • Support budget preparation and contribute to the hotel’s Business Plan for the assigned segment, market or sector.
  • Monitor performance of direct accounts and strategic/key accounts, coordinating with Account Managers to ensure targets are met.
  • Develop and implement sales action plans, aligning hotel activities with corporate objectives and segment requirements.
  • Manage local accounts not covered by Account Managers, promoting hotel offerings and Meliá global programmes such as MeliáPro Rewards and TravelLabs.
  • Identify and capture new business opportunities, prepare corporate RFPs, TT.OO contracts, MICE agreements and negotiate directly or through Account Managers.
  • Prepare business cases for new account acquisition and produce regular reports for Business Review meetings.
  • Act as the primary contact for account incidents, ensuring swift resolution and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Sales Development and Destination Management Companies to explore potential markets and expand the hotel portfolio.

Required profile

  • Proven experience in sales or account management within the hospitality or tourism industry.
  • Strong analytical abilities to support budgeting, business planning and performance monitoring.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the capacity to build lasting relationships with corporate clients.
  • Ability to work autonomously and coordinate cross‑functional teams across multiple geographic locations.
