Resident Engineer – Road Project

About the role

Based in Tanzania, the Resident Engineer will lead the design review and construction supervision phases of a complex road project. This full‑time position ensures coordination and quality assurance across the entire project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all project activities and maintain overall quality standards.
• Conduct design reviews and supervise construction works on roads, landscaping, storm‑water drainage, street lighting and pathways.
• Ensure compliance with FIDIC contract terms and project specifications.
• Prepare and deliver regular reports, presentations and communication to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field (post‑graduate qualification is a plus).
• Minimum 15 years of international experience in construction management and design.
• At least 10 years of experience serving as a Resident Engineer on large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven senior‑level experience on road, landscaping, storm‑water, street lighting and pathway projects in complex urban environments.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
