Jefe/a de Instalaciones – Zanzibar

About the role

We are looking for a Facilities Manager to lead the technical management and supervision of building installations for Iberostar Group’s new project in Zanzibar. The role covers the entire lifecycle from design through construction to hand‑over, ensuring compliance with quality standards and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare project status reports, define scope and estimate budgets during the design phase.
• Support tender processes, compare offers, monitor orders and contracts.
• Manage budgets, evaluate change orders, approve supplier and subcontractor invoices and certifications.
• Review and approve work schedules with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Control and supervise the installation of hydrosanitary, electrical, HVAC and building automation systems, ensuring they meet company quality standards and applicable regulations.
• Receive and technically inspect materials and products, manage construction equipment and auxiliary resources.
• Oversee subcontractors, verify executed work, monitor production and adjust resources as needed.
• Lead post‑construction activities: as‑built documentation, administrative close‑out, and compliance with safety, health and sustainability plans.

Required profile

• Fluent Spanish speaker willing to relocate to Zanzibar, with the company providing relocation support.
• Proven experience in managing building installations in a construction or hotel environment.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to work on‑site and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
