About the role
The bank is seeking a Relationship Manager to lead its Public Sector strategy. You will be responsible for developing new business, maintaining existing client relationships, and delivering tailored financial products and services to public sector entities.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement the bank's Public Sector strategy.
- Identify and acquire new public sector customers while nurturing existing relationships.
- Design and launch public sector‑specific products and services.
- Manage the credit risk framework for public sector portfolios.
- Fund the bank with low‑cost liabilities and achieve profitability targets.
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports, including the Monthly Profitability Report (MPR).
- Monitor unit performance against monthly, quarterly, and annual plans.
- Prepare the team’s annual budget for consolidation into the bank’s overall budget.
- Appraise and develop Relationship Officers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required profile
- Proven experience in banking or financial services, preferably with public sector clients.
- Strong understanding of credit risk management and profitability drivers.
- Ability to analyze performance data and prepare detailed reports.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
