Regional Technical Officer – TB Services

About the role

The Regional Technical Officer, TB Services provides technical expertise to implement and scale comprehensive TB prevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment within the EpiC Project in Tanzania. The role supports integration of TB and HIV services across police, prison and public health facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to regional teams, health facilities and community platforms for planning, implementation and monitoring of TB interventions.
• Conduct mentorship, coaching, supportive supervision and on‑the‑job training to strengthen health‑worker capacity.
• Review TB program data, identify gaps and support development of site‑level improvement plans.
• Coordinate TB/HIV collaborative activities, including screening, linkage to ART and TB preventive treatment.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD) or nursing degree; Master’s in Public Health is an advantage.
• Minimum four years of progressive experience in TB and TB/HIV programming, preferably in donor‑funded public health projects.
• Fluency in English and Kiswahili.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong data analysis and data quality checking skills for TB program monitoring.
• Experience with digital health information systems and routine reporting tools.
