About the role
The Regional Business Manager will lead a designated geographic area, driving profitable growth and achieving sales targets. You will develop and execute tactical sales strategies, manage OPEX, and build strong relationships to create a sustainable pipeline.
Key responsibilities
- Formulate and implement tactical sales strategies, business plans, and budgets for the region.
- Design and optimise Route to Market (RTM) and distributor development to increase numeric distribution and sales revenue.
- Oversee OPEX management, focusing on cost optimisation and profitability.
- Champion customer experience across after‑sales touchpoints.
- Drive brand and trade visibility through effective trade‑marketing execution and relationship management.
- Provide market intelligence, develop counter‑strategies to competition, and improve market share.
- Lead, coach, and develop the sales team, managing performance and capacity.
Required profile
- Minimum degree in a business discipline from a reputable university.
- 4‑5 years of hands‑on sales management experience in FMCG, renewable energy, or telecom.
- Proven ability to lead a high‑performing sales team and exceed targets.
- Strong commercial acumen and problem‑solving capability.
- Valid Tanzanian driving licence.
- Continuous‑improvement mindset.
