Operations Manager

About the role

We are looking for a data‑driven Operations Manager to own and execute Bolt’s operations strategy in Dar es Salaam. You will shape marketplace health, drive fleet performance and support the growth of sustainable mobility in Tanzania.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage Bolt’s operations strategy for Dar es Salaam, focusing on fleet performance, marketplace health and supply engagement.
• Lead the driver acquisition funnel (leads → activation → active) to achieve sustained net activation growth, strong early retention and efficient acquisition costs.
• Build and grow high‑quality fleet partnerships, increasing reliable multi‑vehicle supply and fleet GMV contribution through disciplined B2B acquisition and partner account management.
• Oversee vehicle onboarding, inspection, branding and compliance to ensure high tagging accuracy and adherence to operational standards.
• Reactivate under‑utilised fleet vehicles and improve performance of active drivers and fleet partners.
• Analyze operational data and local trends to identify growth opportunities, pain points and actionable solutions.
• Strengthen relationships with fleet partners, drivers and stakeholders to increase loyalty and engagement.
• Collaborate with HQ teams (Product, Legal, Central Operations, Marketing) to execute strategic priorities.
• Design and roll out city‑specific growth campaigns and efficiency‑enhancing initiatives.
• Track and report on KPIs, ensure operational excellence and continuously seek process improvements.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in Operations, Start‑ups, Strategy Consulting, Mobility, Logistics or related fields.
• Data‑driven mindset with strong analytical abilities.
• Proven track record of scaling driver acquisition and fleet partnerships.
