About the role
The Markets Sales Dealer will join the CIB Markets Sales team, reporting to the Head of Markets Sales. This senior, customer‑facing position is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of corporate and commercial clients for derivatives and risk‑management products across the African market.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of customers, promoting the bank’s Markets Risk Management Products (RMPs) and related technology solutions such as Absa Access FX.
- Drive product and technology sales, including investment and risk‑management offerings, directly with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with Commercial Relationship Managers and other banking divisions (Corporate Banking, Business Banking, Investment Bank, Trade Finance, Retail).
- Expand the CIB Markets footprint into new customer segments, meeting delegated volume and profitability targets.
- Ensure compliance with Absa Group Limited policies, credit limits and risk guidelines.
Required profile
- Proven experience in CIB Markets sales or a similar derivatives/FX environment.
- Deep understanding of market products, risk‑management solutions and the banking customer base.
- Strong relationship‑management skills with the ability to act as a bridge between corporate clients and market product teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple banking functions to deliver integrated solutions.
