IT Director – Digital Transformation Leader (Russian speaker)

About the role

The company, a fast‑growing agribusiness backed by an international fund, is seeking an IT Director who will design and lead a new digital ecosystem across its East African operations. This strategic technology leader will shape the long‑term vision for data, infrastructure, production and analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall IT architecture strategy.
• Lead ERP development and integrate multiple business systems into a unified digital platform.
• Design and manage enterprise data storage, governance and utilization frameworks.
• Build and maintain IT and communications infrastructure for remote production sites.
• Implement GPS tracking for machinery and fleet management.
• Integrate weather stations, sensors and IoT devices into operational workflows.
• Deploy access‑control and facial‑recognition systems.
• Create systems for fuel, materials, inventory, warehouse and equipment management.
• Develop real‑time production monitoring, analytics and business‑intelligence reporting for executives.
• Lead the digitalisation of production processes, quality control and product traceability.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and leading an IT function in a complex, multi‑site environment.
• Ability to manage internal teams, external vendors, consultants and technology partners.
• Strong governance mindset with experience establishing IT policies, procedures and service standards.
• Strategic advisor to senior management on technology and digital transformation initiatives.
