Director of Operations (Hotel)

About the role

Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam is looking for a passionate, people‑focused Director of Operations to lead day‑to‑day hotel activities. As a member of the Executive Leadership Committee, you will translate Hyatt’s purpose of care into exceptional guest and colleague experiences across all operational areas.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight for Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Guest Services.
• Ensure seamless operations, high service standards, and memorable guest experiences.
• Drive commercial performance, revenue growth, and financial results.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
• Lead, coach, and develop multi‑functional teams aligned with Hyatt values.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of progressive leadership experience in hotel operations, preferably luxury or upscale international brands.
• Proven ability to inspire and manage cross‑functional teams.
• Strong operational and financial acumen with a track record of improving guest satisfaction and revenue performance.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship‑building skills.
