Director, Franchise Operations, Tanzania and Islands

About the role

The Director, Franchise Operations for Tanzania and the Islands will act as the end‑to‑end orchestrator for the franchise team, partnering closely with bottling partners. Reporting to the Senior Director, Franchise Operations, Eastern Cluster, this senior leader ensures alignment across commercial, marketing, finance, supply chain and insights functions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide senior thought leadership to the bottler, shaping a balanced agenda of short‑term execution and long‑term growth.
• Lead joint performance routines covering revenue, volume, market share, distribution, visibility and asset productivity.
• Act as the horizontal integrator connecting Commercial, Marketing, RGM, Finance, Supply and Insights to guarantee cohesive planning and execution.
• Identify inter‑dependencies, risks and trade‑offs across initiatives and drive proactive resolution.
• Orchestrate the cross‑functional operating and budget agenda, ensuring investments align with priorities and performance expectations.
• Own direct marketing investment effectiveness, turning insights into actionable interventions.
• Maintain disciplined operating rhythms, governance forums and escalation mechanisms.
• Drive outcome‑focused sprints on pricing compliance, in‑store visibility, cooler placement and outlet expansion.
• Co‑lead route‑to‑market improvements and pilots with the bottler, scaling proven models.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in franchise or bottling operations within a consumer‑goods environment.
• Strong ability to influence across matrixed organisations and align multiple functional stakeholders.
• Track record of delivering commercial impact while building sustainable processes and capabilities.
• Excellent analytical mindset with the capacity to translate strategy and data into market actions.
