Assistant Front Office Manager – Zanzibar 5★ Hotel

About the role

The Assistant Front Office Manager will support the Front Office Manager in delivering the high‑quality service that defines Iberostar Selection Zanzibar. Working on a vibrant beachfront property, you will help create a harmonious work environment and ensure smooth daily operations for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Apply Iberostar procedures and work instructions in all front office activities.
• Attend to guests, handling check‑in, check‑out and other reception tasks.
• Organise and plan daily tasks together with the Front Office Manager.
• Allocate staff to duties, set priorities and supervise execution.
• Participate in training, motivate the team and act as a liaison between the manager and reception staff.
• Manage guest complaints and operational incidents promptly.
• Cover the Front Office Manager during absences.

Required profile

• Strong guest orientation with a methodical and responsible approach.
• Minimum two years of experience in a reception or front office department.
• High level of English; additional languages such as German or Swahili are valued.
• Relevant education in tourism, hotel management or related fields is a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Prestige Property Management System (PMS).
