Treasury Officer

About the role

The Treasury Officer will oversee liquidity and cash management, ensuring the organization’s funds are efficiently allocated and safeguarded. This role supports branch cash availability, manages treasury operations, and maintains compliance with central bank regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily cash positions, maintain banking relationships, and prepare liquidity reports using central bank templates.
• Manage treasury operations including placement of fixed deposits, monitoring liquidity, and funding requirements.
• Support branch-level cash availability, internal controls for cash handling, and internal fund transfers.
• Process and settle foreign exchange (FX) and money market deals, negotiate rates, and maintain records of FX and fixed‑deposit trends.
• Ensure regulatory compliance by submitting statutory reports and adhering to central bank guidelines.
• Collaborate with finance and reconciliation units to clear outstanding items and perform monthly reconciliations of general‑ledger accounts.
• Maintain relationships with lenders, monitor loan covenants, and coordinate due‑diligence documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in treasury operations, cash management, and liquidity monitoring.
• Strong understanding of foreign exchange and money market transactions.
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting and central bank requirements.
• Ability to work with internal finance teams and external lenders.
