Accountant – Automotive Sector (Bagamoyo, Tanzania)

About the role

ITM Tanzania Limited is seeking a full‑time Accountant to join its automotive division in Bagamoyo. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and delivering timely reports to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and perform regular account reconciliations.
• Record all financial transactions accurately and file supporting documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements.
• Track receivables and ensure timely collections.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Manage funds and identify process improvements to strengthen internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or ACCA certification preferred, or in progress.
• At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Tally, or ERP systems.
