Senior Light Truck Mechanic

About the role

Our client, a leading beverage producer, is looking for an experienced Senior Light Truck Mechanic to lead the maintenance of its light commercial vehicle fleet. You will oversee a busy workshop, ensure vehicles are road‑worthy, and keep delivery operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day workshop activities and maintenance schedules.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain light trucks ranging from 3.5 to 10 tons.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on delivery trucks.
• Service refrigerated trucks and their cooling systems.
• Plan and monitor vehicle inspections, servicing, and repairs.
• Guarantee all vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and available for use.
• Maintain accurate workshop records, maintenance reports, and service histories.
• Monitor usage of workshop tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Identify recurring mechanical issues and propose effective solutions.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Automotive Engineering, Motor Vehicle Mechanics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in truck maintenance and workshop operations.
• Proven work with light trucks (3.5‑10 tons) and delivery vehicles.
• Experience with refrigerated trucks is a plus.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
• Previous experience supervising mechanics or managing a workshop.
• Valid driving licence is an advantage.
