Relationship Officer Supervisor (Level 5)

About the role

The Relationship Officer Supervisor leads a team of Relationship Officers to deliver savings, insurance and loan products to vulnerable communities. This role combines supervision, business development, credit oversight and compliance to ensure high portfolio quality and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily activities of Relationship Officers.
• Lead the team to achieve savings, insurance and lending targets.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and field support, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Drive marketing efforts and identify new business opportunities within the outreach area.
• Validate loan appraisals, conduct spot checks and enforce zero tolerance on missed repayments.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee loan disbursement, cash handling and accurate reporting in the core banking system.
• Handle client complaints and ensure timely resolution.
• Identify staffing needs, coordinate recruitment and plan training programs.
• Monitor daily performance of Relationship Officers and take corrective actions as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising a sales or credit team.
• Strong understanding of savings, insurance and loan products.
• Ability to coach, mentor and evaluate staff performance.
• Knowledge of credit assessment, portfolio quality monitoring and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and complaint handling.
