Credit Analyst

About the role

The Credit Analyst will evaluate credit applications from individual and business clients, focusing on special schemes such as TPDF. Based in Dodoma or another assigned region, the role supports both special‑scheme credit and routine HQ credit activities, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of credit applications, analysing financial statements, credit histories and supporting documentation.
• Verify client identification, signatures and documentation to detect potential fraud.
• Deliver credit assessments within agreed Service Level Agreements, aligning recommendations with the Retail Credit Policy.
• Make informed credit decisions on loan applications from special schemes, following delegated approval authority.
• Perform credit reference checks, due‑diligence and employer confirmations before recommending approvals.
• Monitor emerging credit trends to improve assessment methodologies.
• Coordinate with Legal, Treasury, Security Management Unit and branch networks to ensure timely processing of secured loans.
• Draft and issue offer letters, communicating approved facilities to clients through branch channels.
