Relationship Officer Supervisor – Group Lending

About the role

The Relationship Officer Supervisor will lead the Group Lending team, overseeing daily activities of Relationship Officers and ensuring effective marketing, promotion, and delivery of VFT financial products. This role focuses on maintaining high portfolio quality, driving branch performance, and supporting loan disbursement compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily activities of Relationship Officers.
• Lead the group lending team in accurate marketing and promotion of VFT products.
• Visit and verify newly formed groups and clients before approval.
• Conduct follow‑up visits with existing clients according to monitoring schedules.
• Handle client complaints promptly and ensure timely resolution.
• Drive branch performance to meet targets for savings, insurance, and loans (disbursement, portfolio growth, quality, and client numbers).
• Support and oversee loan disbursement to ensure compliance with VFT procedures.
• Hold regular team meetings to review performance and provide coaching.
• Maintain strong portfolio quality through proactive risk management.
• Conduct performance evaluations of Relationship Officers and recommend promotions or terminations.
• Enforce 100% on‑time loan collection and a zero‑tolerance policy for missed payments.
• Identify staffing needs, coordinate recruitment, and plan training in collaboration with P&C.
• Monitor performance of savings, insurance, and loan products and take corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with Business Center and Regional Managers to develop expansion and market‑penetration programs.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising Relationship Officers or similar field staff.
• Strong knowledge of loan disbursement procedures and portfolio quality management.
• Ability to monitor field activities, conduct performance evaluations, and enforce collection policies.
• Experience in staff recruitment, training coordination, and talent development.
• Excellent coordination skills to work with business managers on expansion initiatives.
