Regional People & Culture Director – West Africa

About the role

VisionFund International, the micro‑finance arm of World Vision, is seeking a Regional People & Culture Director for its West Africa cluster (Senegal, Mali, Ghana). You will provide strategic HR leadership, drive organizational development and ensure the region’s people practices align with the global vision of ending inter‑generational poverty.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the People & Culture function across the three countries, delivering strategic direction, oversight and capacity‑building.
• Advise the Regional Director and the Boards of the MFIs on senior‑management talent decisions and people policies.
• Oversee and harmonise people‑related processes, RACI matrices and compliance with partnership policies.
• Matrix‑manage MFI People & Culture Managers, fostering a high‑performing, engaged team.
• Collaborate with Global Centres of Expertise and external networks to strengthen VisionFund’s brand and capacity.
• Develop leadership pipelines and executive development programmes for senior staff.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of senior HR leadership or human‑resources management experience in a complex, international organisation.
• Proven expertise in organisational development, preferably within an international financial‑inclusion or multinational environment.
• University degree with a strong HR focus; CIPD, SHRM or equivalent certification is an advantage.
