Procurement Officer – Donor‑Approved Award

About the role

The Procurement Officer will support the project by ensuring that all procurement activities follow Jhpiego’s procedures and donor requirements. The role involves developing procurement plans, managing vendor relationships, and guaranteeing timely delivery of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Validate purchase requests for completeness, clarity, and specificity.
• Source quotations, negotiate prices, terms, and delivery with vendors.
• Prepare vendor selection documentation and obtain approvals from Jhpiego Baltimore when required.
• Raise Local Purchase Orders (LPOs), track deliveries, and ensure receipt of goods matches specifications.
• Maintain procurement tracking sheets in the my.Jhpiego intranet and keep users informed of order status.
• Compile bid analyses, support the purchasing committee, and maintain an up‑to‑date classified vendor list.
• Coordinate vendor payments and prepare payment requests.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement or purchasing within an international development or health organization.
• Familiarity with donor‑funded procurement guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with finance and program teams.

• Bid analysis and vendor selection expertise.
