Procurement & Logistics Coordinator

About the role

Jaza is expanding its network of solar‑powered hubs across Tanzania and needs a Procurement & Logistics Coordinator to manage the flow of equipment, materials, and services. You will be the link between suppliers, freight partners, and internal project teams, ensuring that every component arrives on time, within budget, and complies with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for equipment, materials, and services.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, match invoices with goods receipt notes, and track payments.
• Maintain supplier relationships, monitor performance, and support contract negotiations.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including shipping, customs clearance, and transportation.
• Track shipments, manage delivery schedules, and resolve any logistical issues.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and suppliers to ensure smooth logistics flow.
• Optimize warehouse and inventory management practices.
• Collaborate with project teams to forecast procurement needs and align with project timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, shipments, and inventory.
• Assist in risk management, contingency planning, and compliance with regulations and company policies.

• Ability to solve logistical challenges in a fast‑moving, dynamic environment.
• Comfort with structured processes while remaining flexible to change.
• Experience coordinating procurement and logistics activities, preferably in an emerging‑market context.
