Power Engineer (Telecom Power & Electromechanical)

About the role

The Power Engineer will supervise and support the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of telecom power and electromechanical systems. You will ensure that all activities follow Nokia standards, approved engineering designs, and project requirements, guaranteeing reliable and safe site power infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation, testing, put‑in‑service and commissioning of new electromechanical equipment.
• Direct and verify quality control and quality assurance for maintenance activities, preparing technical reports as needed.
• Conduct root‑cause analyses of failed equipment and recommend preventive actions.
• Prepare technical presentations and engineering letters for internal and external stakeholders.
• Design and deliver training courses for the electromechanical team.
• Provide technical support to rollout teams and subcontractors during network installation and operation.
• Interface with customers on electromechanical network issues.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are applied in all installation and maintenance work.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electromechanical, Power Engineering or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in telecom power and electromechanical systems.
• Proven experience supervising installation, testing, commissioning and put‑into‑service activities.
• Strong knowledge of power systems, generators, rectifiers, batteries, UPS systems, grounding and site electrical infrastructure.
• Experience in quality control/quality assurance and compliance with engineering standards.
• Ability to perform root‑cause analysis and provide corrective recommendations.
• Excellent technical reporting and documentation skills.
• Experience supporting rollout teams and subcontractors during network deployment.
