MEL Manager – Faith and Community Initiative

About the role

The Faith and Community Initiative (FCI) is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager to lead the design and implementation of its MEL system for the Tanzania programme. The role will ensure that data collection, analysis and reporting are aligned with FCI’s global framework, donor requirements and Tanzania’s national health‑information systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development, periodic review and implementation of the FCI Tanzania MEL Plan.
• Design and maintain the results framework, indicator matrix, data‑flow diagrams, data‑collection tools and reporting calendars.
• Adapt global FCI indicators to the Tanzanian context while ensuring comparability across countries.
• Establish an integrated MEL architecture covering community platforms, spokes, hubs and national reporting systems.
• Define data roles, reporting responsibilities and verification arrangements for all partners.
• Incorporate GIS/geospatial analysis for geographic prioritisation, service‑gap analysis and visualisation of coverage.
• Coordinate routine performance management, data use and adaptive learning processes.
